Ash Paranthaman, an associate project engineer/manager at RICK, discusses his career path and goals as one of the 2025 SWS Emerging Leaders. At 28, he became the youngest project engineer at RICK. In addition to his role at RICK, Paranthaman is the vice president of community service for ASCE San Diego Section’s Younger Member Forum, and he shares how industry involvement has shaped his career.

Katie Johns, editor-in-chief of Stormwater Solutions, graduated from the University of Missouri in 2016 with a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.
