The 2025 StormCon keynote speaker, Sarah Matin, who is the Region 5 director for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) discusses how the stormwater sector can improve. In 2025, ASCE gave stormwater a "D," which is the same score the sector received in 2021. Matin discusses how factors, such as a national stormwater database, can improve stormwater management throughout the country.

Katie Johns, editor-in-chief of Stormwater Solutions, graduated from the University of Missouri in 2016 with a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.
