EPA Administrator, DOE Acting Assistant Secretary to Keynote EUEC
Senior Obama Administration officials Gina McCarthy, U.S. EPA administrator, and Christopher A. Smith, principal deputy assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Fossil Energy, are invited as keynote speakers for North America’s largest gathering of energy, utility and environment experts.
The 17th annual Energy, Utility & Environment Conference (EUEC) is set for Feb. 3 to 5 at the Phoenix Convention Center. This would be the fourth year for McCarthy and third year for Smith to address the convention.
"We’re excited to have the opportunity for Ms. McCarthy to provide an update of new regulations impacting electric utilities and Mr. Smith to discuss developments in America’s clean energy economy and energy security in our plenary program," said Dr. Prabhu Dayal, EUEC chairman.
