Water and wastewater professionals from across the nation and abroad are gearing up for the 80th annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC.07).

Exhibition planners expect to host more than 17,000 guests and 1,000 exhibitors at this year’s show, which will be held Oct. 13 to 17 at the San Diego Convention Center. WEFTEC is the largest water quality event in North America and the largest annual water quality exhibition in the world.

“It is imperative that busy water and wastewater professionals make the time to step out of their demanding work-a-day world to allow themselves an opportunity to network with their industry peers and to analyze their current and future goals and objectives,” said Water Environment Federation President Mohamed Dahab. “WEFTEC is a literal smorgasbord of training, information exchange, system and technology updates, as well as an opportunity to volunteer and give back to the industry.”

WEFTEC.07 offers education and training opportunities for individuals committed to water, sanitation, public health and the environment.

“WEFTEC is designed to be flexible and allow attendees to design their own learning experience based on their specific areas of expertise and professional interests,” said Dahab. A number of the event’s educational opportunities may be of particular interest and benefit to storm water professionals:
