StormCon 2017 Dates, Location Announced

Convention be held in Seattle, Aug. 27 to 31
Oct. 14, 2016

The nation's largest stormwater convention, StormCon, will be held in Seattle next year, Aug. 27 to 31, 2017. Most recently, the convention was held in Indianapolis and co-located with WasteCon.

Aside from sharing and learning about new storm water management techniques, StormCon is an opportunity for storm water manufacturers and surface water quality professionals to learn about regulatory agencies.

Storm water management is one of the key topics at StormCon. Every state in the nation is adopting stricter storm water guidelines with additional emphasis to treat rain as a valuable resource. California, Oregon, Washington and Utah are just a handful of the many states currently proposing stronger storm water regulations and innovative solutions.

In addition green infrastructure, BMP case studies, industrial storm water and water-quality monitoring are mainstay topics at each year's event. Going back to the northwest for 2017 is especially appropriate, as the region leads the country in their efforts to rein in surface water pollution with extensive green infrastructure projects.

The call for papers is currently underway. Visit www.stormcon.com for more information or download details from www.stormcon.com/pdf/SC2017_CallforPapers.pdf.
