StormwateRx Introduces AquiPlus Filtration System for Industrial Storm Water Treatment
StormwateRx, a provider of industrial storm water treatment and filtration systems, announced the introduction of AquiPlus, an add-on to its Aquip storm water filtration system. AquiPlus provides pollutant removal for a number of storm water treatment applications, including removal of dissolved metals to the parts per billion range, reduction of water turbidity and elimination of pathogenic microorganisms such as E. coli, the company said.
The company said the AquiPlus system is ideal for industries where higher concentrations of specific industrial pollutants are unavoidable or in areas where storm water quality standards require especially high quality effluent.
AquiPlus is installed as a modular upgrade to the StormwateRx Aquip media filtration system for industrial storm water applications. Aquip is a passive, adsorptive filtration system that is available in three performance levels, each designed for the reduction of storm water pollutants such as oils, suspended solids, heavy metals (including dissolved metals), organics and nutrients.
AquiPlus provides an added measure of pollutant removal, or polishing, to the Aquip system effluent. It does not use chemicals and has no moving parts other than a pump, so it is inherently safe and simple to operate, according to the company.
