Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS) and BaySaver Technologies Inc. have announced an exclusive marketing agreement whereby ADS will be the sole sales and marketing arm for all BaySaver products. The agreement will add BaySaver’s storm water quality treatment devices to the ADS product line. The alliance will use ADS worldwide distribution, sales and engineering support to increase the use of BaySaver products. The announcement was made by Bob Klein, executive vice president of customer relations, and Tom Pank, founder and president of BaySaver Technologies.
“Since our beginning more than 40 years ago, we have always looked to provide the industry with top-line, intelligently designed products that help protect the environment,” Klein said. “BaySaver certainly fits and actually exceeds that goal. Its products have a well-deserved reputation for reliability and results.”
Founded in 1997, BaySaver features products including its BaySeparator unit and BayFilter storm water treatment unit.
“BaySaver has concentrated on developing products that assist in the compliance of all federally mandated regulations set by Phase I and Phase II of the Clean Water Act, which calls for municipalities to remove pollutants such as trash, oils and sediments from storm water runoff," Pank said. "Now, making it possible for ADS to offer BaySaver products accomplishes our next objective.”
The first product Pank invented was the BaySeparator system that removes sediment, debris and oil during a storm by treating influent water according to the rate of its flow. The BayFilter unit uses a proprietary and patented system that dislodges pollutants and restores the porosity of the media.
“These are exceptional products for our industry,” Klein said. “They are an important component for any storm water system and can be readily used with ADS corrugated high-density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) and our other products.”
Founded in 1996, ADS is the world's largest producer of corrugated HDPE pipe. It has a global network of 42 domestic and international manufacturing plants and more than 30 distribution centers.
