SWS Managing Editor Katie Johns is joined by Roger Wiese, president and owner of Cardinal State and Derek Brehm project manager for Cardinal State to talk about another 2022 Top Projects winner, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) of Greater Chicago Streambank Stabilization on Melvina Ditch. This project aimed to protect Nashville Avenue and businesses adjacent to the Melvina Ditch from active streambank erosion, restore storm sewer outlets, and restore the riparian corridor with active vegetation.
