EPA seeks proposals for $5.3 million in coastal restoration grants
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking proposals for approximately $5.3 million in grants to support coastal watershed restoration across southeastern New England.
The agency expects to award funding to approximately eight projects through its Southeast New England Program (SNEP) Innovative Restoration Grants. The program will support innovative policies, science and technologies aimed at addressing ecological challenges and improving coastal watershed health across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Projects are intended to advance cost-effective restoration approaches that protect water quality and coastal resources. EPA said the program uses regional collaboration and shared resources to address environmental challenges at the ecosystem level.
The 2026 notice of funding opportunity is available through Grants.gov. Proposals must be submitted by Dec. 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
EPA’s SNEP program works with regional stakeholders to address coastal watershed needs and support restoration efforts throughout southeastern New England.
