StormTrap LLC has announced that it has been granted a new patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO).

The issuance of U.S. Patent 8,770,890 B2 covers various aspects of StormTrap LLC's second-generation modular concrete storm water management system. The company already holds a U.S. design patent for the new ornamental aspects of this product. StormTrap is seeking further patents in the U.S. and has been granted several foreign patents on these innovations.

“The second generation of our product provides a more efficient, cost-effective and resilient solution to managing storm water detention and retention,” said StormTrap President David Plummer. “The patent adds to our international catalogue of intellectual property rights and substantially strengthens our presence in the industry.”
