Potomac River recovery plateaus

The Potomac Conservancy gave the river its fifth-straight B in its Potomac River Report Card.

Hedrick Belin, Potomac Conservancy's executive director, discusses the 2025 Potomac River Report Card by Potomac Conservancy, which gave the river a B. This is the fifth report card in a row in which the river has received a B, so Belin touches on why progess has stalled, pointing to impacts from runoff and forest loss. Belin also expands on efforts that have helped improve the river's water quality, how the grade is determined and more.
