The White River Festival announced its capstone event, the White River Celebration & Stewardship Fundraiser Tuesday, Sept. 27.

The annual White River Festival is a 19-day celebration of the White River, its tributaries and surrounding watershed throughout central Indiana. This year, various venues and locations have hosted events in September under the theme of history.

The White River Celebration & Stewardship Fundraiser features a live auction, award presentation and dinner. It is held at the Crane Bay, 551 Merrill Street, Indianapolis, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $1,200 for a corporate or organization table and $75 for individuals.

The event is an opportunity to recognize and participate in a collaborative recognition of water ingenuity and protection. The event will feature the “Trash to Treasure” live auction, where teams will work together to build an art piece derived from the items recovered during the White River Festival’s annual river clean-ups. Awards will also be presented to recognize leadership, creativity, and innovation in water resource and protection among the White River waterways. The event will feature food, drinks and mingling with other professionals.

The event is sponsored by the White River Alliance, Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust and Citizens Energy Group. For more information on registration, sponsors and award nomination details, visit http://whiteriverfestival.org/events/4987/white-river-celebration-stewardship-fundraiser/.
