NCSPA Announces 2016 Project of the Year Winners

Awards for safety, rehab projects, retention/detention projects among the recognitions

The 2016 National Corrugated Steel Pipe Assn.’s (NCSPA) Annual Meeting was held April 9 to 12, 2016 in Bonita Springs, Fla. NCSPA presented its fourth annual Project of the Year awards on the final day of the conference.

The NCSPA Project of the Year Awards were presented in five categories: Corrugated Steel Pipe/Pipe Arch Projects, Structural Plate Projects, Rehabilitation Projects, Retention/Detention Projects, DOT Projects, and the Hall of Fame Project. Five guest judges, including one from Storm Water Solutions, were solicited to review, rank and select the winners of each category.

This year's winners were:

  • Corrugated Steel Pipe and Pipe Arch Project of the Year – Pacific Corrugated Pipe Co. 
  • Structural Plate Project of the Year: Big R Bridge (Audubon Hollow – Houston, Texas)
  • Rehabilitation Project of the Year: Lane Enterprises Inc. (Poe Paddy Tunnel Reline)
  • Retention/Detention Project of the Year: Contech Engineered Solutions LLC (U.S. Bank Stadium Detention)
  • DOT Project of the Year: True North Steel (Pembina County Structural Plate Pipe Extension)
  • Hall of Fame Project of the Year: Metal Culverts Inc. (Union County, Iowa Mult-Plate Arch)
