Oldcastle Precast Revamps Maryland Facility
Oldcastle Precast, a precast concrete product manufacturer, has re-equipped their production facility, located at 1401 Trimble Road, Edgewood, Md. The new equipment results in a National Precast Concrete Assn.-accredited production facility that now manufactures underground precast concrete products available to customers in the Maryland area.
"Oldcastle Precast is very excited to service the precast product market locally, within the state of Maryland," said Doug Bruhns, regional general manager. "The Maryland area is a growing market and moving our services closer to this market will allow for increased customer service and creates a local source for precast products. Oldcastle looks forward to partnering with local contractors and owners in the area."
Located on 40 acres, the 100,000-sq-ft indoor facility includes five bridge cranes and two concrete mixers. The facility provides a controlled environment for cost-effective and efficient production and outfitting of concrete to ensure high quality.
In addition to the National Precast Concrete Assn. (NPCA) accreditation, Edgewood has obtained plant certification with the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA) and will be offering a full line of underground precast products, including electrical and communication utility vaults, sanitary and storm drainage structures, storm water management systems, security wall systems, box culvert, three-sided bridges, and pre-stressed transportation products.
Edgewood is located approximately 15 miles northeast of the Baltimore beltway and has inventory in stock to service immediate needs for standard or engineered custom solutions.
