NDS has acquired the DrainTech product line from Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. DrainTech offers a line of basins, channels and grates that have been designed to provide maximum performance with minimal maintenance.

The purchase represents an important addition to NDS’ line of surface and subsurface drainage products sold widely across the U.S. and the world. NDS will be consolidating the DrainTech product line into its Lindsay, Calif., manufacturing facility and will begin shipping from all NDS regional warehouses in the near future. These products will continue to be sold under the DrainTech brand.

“This acquisition will give our customers a one-stop source for a full range of drainage solutions to meet all of their needs, from the largest contractor all the way to a homeowner doing a backyard drainage project,” says Mike Gummeson, president and CEO of NDS.

ADS will continue to process, ship and invoice orders for the product lines purchased by NDS for a short transition period. “We’re jointly working towards having all operations and customer support fully transitioned to NDS’s facility in Lindsay, California by Aug. 5, 2013,” says Barry McHone, vice president of operations at NDS.

“This is a very positive move for ADS and our customers,” stated Joe Chlapaty, chairman and CEO of ADS. “This agreement allows us to redeploy additional resources to serving our ADS customers.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
