Orbis signs distribution partnership with Core & Main

Orbis Intelligent Systems announced a distribution partnership with Core & Main on July 1, 2024.

The collaboration combines Orbis’ SmartCap technology with Core & Main’s industry expertise.

The two companies are partnering to enhance water network performance and efficiency through the SmartCap technology. SmartCap is an acoustic fixed-base pipe monitoring system, housed in a fire hydrant, that uses real-time data to detect leaks and reduce non-revenue water loss, providing a crucial role in modern water management.

Orbis focuses on modern infrastructure monitoring technologies and offers products for utilities and municipalities. With the distribution partnership, Orbis’ SmartCa[ solution will now be available nationwide through Core & Main’s distribution network.

Orbis is headquartered in San Diego, California, and offers smart technologies that support utilities in delivering safe and reliable water services via a range of products that utilize real-time data on consumer water usage, network efficiency and pipeline condition.

Core & Main is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a specialized distributor focusing on water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products with related services. They provide solutions to municipalities, private water companies and professional contractors.
